Rapid collapse of a sub-Antarctic alpine ecosystem: the role of climate and pathogens
Ecosystem change is predicted to become more prevalent with climate change. Widespread dieback of cushion plants and bryophytes in alpine fellfield on Macquarie Island may represent such change.
