Sex chromosomes of basal placental mammals

Placental (eutherian) mammals are currently classified into four superordinal clades (Afrotheria, Xenarthra, Laurasiatheria and Supraprimates) of which one, the Afrotheria (a unique lineage of African origin), is generally considered to be basal.
