Drug-induced immune thrombocytopenia (DITP) is an adverse drug effect mediated by drug-dependent antibodies. Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) is frequently used to treat DITP and primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). Despite IVIG's proven beneficial effects in ITP, its efficacy in DITP is unclear.
