Chalcogenide waveguides for nonlinear optics and signal processing

I will discuss the properties of chalcogenide waveguides for all-optical processing compared with other waveguide materials. The absence of multi-photon absorption and free carrier effects impart significant advantages particularly for strong nonlinear effects.
