Greater trochanteric pain syndrome: defining the clinical syndrome

Abstract

Background: Effective treatment of hip pain improves population health and quality of life. Accurate differential diagnosis is fundamental to effective treatment. The diagnostic criteria for one common hip problem, greater trochanteric pain syndrome (GTPS
