Description: 
Through her friendships with Rose Scott and Vida Goldstein, in the early 1900s, Franklin became involved in the feminist movement in Australia. Between 1906 and 1915, Franklin worked with fellow Australian Alice Henry for the National Women's Trade Union League in Chicago, USA.
