Australian Partnership for Sustainable Repositories
Over the past couple of years, APAC has been progressively deploying and enhancing key services for an interoperable grid across the state-based members of the partnership. As grid technology is still evolving rapidly, we required effort to shield the underlying resources from the technology and to support multiple middleware stacks on the one resource. This has largely been successful, and so application developers now have a rich set of middleware and information services they can target. This talk will cover some of the technology solutions applied, the services offered and some of the applications using this infrastructure. As NCRIS capabilities become operational, we expect a significant increase in the “deep, open, wide” nature of the grid, and I will outline some of the changes we expect to see and areas where further work is needed.
