The WTO, agriculture and developing economies

Diaz-Bonilla, Eugenio; Robinson, Sherman; Thomas, Marcelle; Yanoma, Yukitsugu

Description

[Introduction]: This paper analyses agricultural trade issues from the perspective of developing economies. These countries represent a large percentage of World Trade Organization (WTO) membership, and agriculture is very important for them in terms of economic growth, poverty alleviation, food security and environmental sustainability. WTO negotiations must take their concerns into account.
