Crustal structure of Australia from ambient seismic noise tomography
Surface wave tomography for Australian crustal structure has been carried out using group velocity measurements in the period range 1-32s extracted from stacked correlations of ambient noise between station pairs. Both Rayleigh wave and Love wave group velocity maps are constructed for each period using the vertical and transverse component of the Green's function estimates from the ambient noise.
