Finite Quantities

Nolan, Daniel

Description

How could physics provide us with evidence that physical quantities were discrete rather than continuous? This paper discusses this question, and other questions about how to discover the structure of physical quantities in general. It also examines a much discussed special case: can physics provide evidence whether spatio-temporal quantities are discrete?
