Newer cardiac troponin I assays have similar performance to troponin T in patients with end-stage renal disease

Background: Troponin T is present in the blood of a majority of patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) undergoing regular dialysis and presence of troponin T is a predictor of adverse outcome in these patients.
