The effectiveness of revegetation in controlling runoff rates and suspended sediment load is evaluated for a semi-arid catchment. Two similar catchments, one revegetated, the other partially denuded, were monitored for the 1979-80 wet season. Runoff rates were evaluated in terms of the runoff coefficient and lag time of the catchments.
