Edge Detection with Mie-Resonant Dielectric Metasurfaces

Description

We demonstrate an optical image processing technique in the form of edge detection of an object by exploring the angular selectivity of Mie-resonant dielectric metasurfaces of hexagonal symmetry. We examine the effect of both electric and magnetic Mie-type resonances on the spatial dispersion and reveal that the magnetic resonance provides better edge detection.
