View of a curved linoleum-topped bar edged with chrome and faced with slim cylinders of two coloured timber. Fluted indentations feature on the cornice of the dropped ceiling above the bar which contains a lighting source. The floor is linoleum with mosaic tiles laid around the foot of the bar. An occasional table is placed adjacent to padded seating built into one of the curtained window niches. The Greengate Hotel was purchased by Tooth & Company in June 1940. On completion of rebuilding in 1943 the hotel was a two storeyed structure built of specially made bricks. The architectural style of the exterior was described as Italian Renaissance or Classical Revival and featured details such as pillars and arches.
