We compared haemodynamic and peripheral vasomotor responses to lower body negative pressure (LBNP) in cardiac transplant recipients who had undergone bicaval anastomoses, involving right atrial deafferentation (-RA), and the conventional procedure in which some atrial baroreceptor afferents remain intact (+RA).
