Are people inspired by The Big Bang Theory to find out more about Science? Results from focus group-based audience research

In this paper we report some results of focus group research run with regular viewers of American sitcom The Big Bang Theory (2007-ongoing), regarding the representation of science and scientists in the program. Specifically we report evidence that The Big Bang Theory has stimulated audience members to find out more about science.
