OBJECTIVE: 20-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid (20-HETE) is a potent constrictor in small arteries and also has natriuretic properties. Urinary 20-HETE excretion is increased in adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH)-induced hypertensive rats.
