Description

Parastagonospora nodorum is a necrotrophic fungal pathogen causing the wheat disease septoria nodorum blotch which is causal to significant economic losses globally. As a necrotroph, P. nodorum secretes necrotrophic effectors that induce cell death responses in wheat cultivars harbouring dominant susceptibility genes.
