Pollination is the crucial stage for reproduction and survival of plants, therefore knowledge about the bionomics of pollinators is often critical for plant conservation. Bowenia spectabilis (Cycadales: Stangeriaceae) is a CITES-protected cycad species endemic to the Wet Tropics Bioregion of Queensland, Australia.
