Description
As antioxidants, tocopherols deactivate reactive oxygen species and prevent lipids from oxidation in response to abiotic stresses. γ-Tocopherol methyltransferase (γ-TMT) catalyzes the conversion of γ-tocopherol into α-tocopherol which has the highest biological activity.
