Launch of supercomputer Connection Machine CM-2 at Questacon

Abstract

Professor Michael McRobbie, Director of the University's Centre for Information Science Research, Mr Shaun McConnon, Managing Director of Sun Microsystems, Mr Kellie Pickard, of Thinking Machines Corporation and the Minister for Science and Technology, Mr Simon Crean, who launched the ANU's new supercomputer, the Connection Machine System CM-2, at a ceremony held recently at the National Science and Technology Centre in Canberra.
