Abstract

This work dpeicts intersecting tubes represantive of information networks. The choice to print a new media image onto an old material like hessian mixes so-called tradional and non-traditional visual languages. The work was first exhibited in a solo exhibition that featured a conceptual clash between 'traditional' painterly works and digital prints generated through new media software. These formal tensions draw from recent social and political events, driven by irreconcilable disputes between technocratic utopianism and nostalgic forms of anti-modernity.
