Reversible deactivation radical polymerization of vinyl chloride (VC) by methyl (ethoxycarbonothioyl)sulfanyl acetate (MEA)-mediated macromolecular design via the interchange of xanthate (MADIX) polymerization at ambient temperature is reported.
