Description: The vase is painted, and its shape differs from the usual type hu of the Han period. It consists of three separately modelled parts, joined together by horizontal bands which stand out in relief. The colours of the design are black and red, painted on a white background. The composition is detailed in execution, consisting of horses, riders, pedestrians, a boat and navigator. There is considerable use of perspective on the one hand and a complete lack of it on the other. -- h: 44.5 cm.
