| Description: | The larvae pass through three phases of sleep. On waking from the third sleep (the great awakening) they feed voraciously on the mulberry leaves heaped beside them. It is important to shelter the larvae from excessive heat by allowing cool air to circulate freely in the rooms in which they are kept. |
