In vivo magnetic resonance imaging of human knee with metasurface

Description

We experimentally demonstrate how to substantially improve the performance of a 1.5 T magnetic resonance imaging machine by employing the unique properties of ultrathin metasurface resonators. We fabricated a metasurface formed by an array of nonmagnetic metallic wires embedded in a high epsilon and low loss medium and investigated it in an in-vivo experiment.
