Determination of local diffusion coefficients and directional anisotropy in shale from dynamic micro-CT imaging

Molecular diffusion is an important mass transport mechanism for gas production from shale reservoirs. Characterization of matrix diffusivity is fundamental to understand the recovery from shale gas plays.
