An etymological note on Warlpiri kurdungurlu
The semantics of the Warlpiri social terms kurdungurlu and kirda are studied, including investigation of their etymology. The linguistic clues to the meaning of the kurdungurlu concept are assembled and evaluated. It is shown to be related to the Warlpiri word kurdu '(sister's) child;
