This ‘Thesis by Creative Works’ investigates the ‘same but different’ performative ontologies, or ways of being, between Indigenous Australian and Indian classical dancescapes. The term ‘dancescape’ refers to the emotional, intellectual, corporeal, spiritual and other ineffable experiences potentially encountered in dance.
