Numerous richly adorned female skeletons have been found. The position in the grave indicates that this jewellery once decorated the head. With it was a needle forking into 3 branches with rosettes and golden hair spirals. Large crescent-shaped earrings & numerous necklaces also found. Thought to be funerary because of symbolical shapes used in design. This example now in British Museum. -- "Royal Tomb", Meskalamdu(g) phase, c. 2685-45, gold, lapis lazuli, carnelian.
