Above : glossy black and red on burnished orange-red slip, with design of red stripes and black wavy lines on outside. Below : Buff-colour slip, inside decorated with matt black & red paint outside with stripes and wavy lines in lustrous red and black paint. -- Halaf culture (Eridu-'Ubaid period).
