Description: Within the courtyard of the great Wat Po temple is this small shrine at which offerings may be made to the spirits of the trees, the Phis as they are called in Thailand, or Nats in Burma. The relation of the Buddhists to these spirits is discussed in THE PATH OF THE BUDDHA.
