Description: This is one of the most popular shrines in Buddhism, the famous temple of the Tooth in Kandy. Here they have a tooth of the Buddha which has come to have special attraction in popular Buddhism and is the occasion for one of the greatest festivals in Theravada Buddhism when the tooth is carried through the streets once a year in solemn procession.
