Description: A characteristic example of Ajanta painting, a Bodhisattva with lotus, from Cave I at Ajanta. This picture was taken from the volume on Ajanta published for Unesco by The New York Graphic Society. The modern revival of art in India has been influenced by the Ajanta style more than by any other aspect of the Indian tradition.
