Description: | This closer view of the sacred Bodhi tree shows the Vajrasana, or Diamond Throne, the seat where the Buddha sat as he attained Enlightenment. The present seat marks the spot where the Diamond Throne sprang up for the Buddha when he sat under the tree for the first time. Buddhism began here. |
