Placental histopathology in preterm fetal growth restriction

Aims: Approximately 6–9% pregnancies are affected by fetal growth restriction (FGR). Placental alterations related to utero‐placental insufficiency in FGR may induce placental vascular remodelling to the detriment of the fetus.
