Title: Radha with two companions entering a walled garden where Krishna is awaiting her, 16th century (Museum of Fine Arts, Boston)
Author(s): Photographer: Arthur Llewellyn Basham
Keywords: Western India;paintings;manuscripts;book scan
Description: A group of miniatures from Western India … has much in common with the Gujarati pictures. The figures, however, have acquired new vitality, and their movements show vigour and sometimes emotional power. They seem, indeed, to form a link between late Gujarati miniatures and those paintings which go under the name of 'Rajput primitives'. -- 18.5 x 26.5 cm.
