There are only two other pictures with such pronouncedly non-Mughal features in the manuscript. The male figure is clothed as in the Akbar period. The patterns on the 2nd & 3rd females, particularly in the chequer design, are obviously similar to those of the Chaurapanchasika group. The manner of depicting the breasts as intersecting three-quarter circles
dc.descriptionthe ornaments, the sharply projecting patkas, the rhythmical outlines and the animated gestures are also reminiscent of the Chaurapanchasika group. The faces of the women remind us strongly of the Hindu types found in the Nimat-Nama. The shrubs in the foreground with long swaying stems and the ornamental trees in the background occur in a rudimentary manner in the 1540 Mahapurana and anticipate the future developments in the schools of Rajasthan. -- Folio 100 verso.
