The large patch of red wall as backdrop, as well as the heavy features of the men, remind one strongly of Rajasthani and popular Mughal painting of the early seventeenth century. Note, however, the easy flowing manner in which the ends of the dupatta are shown fluttering and the turban with kulah but without the trellis of the type that is seen on the heads of Hindu priests in the painting of the Akbar period -- Folio 92 recto.
