Description: | Built in the 18th cent. on the ruins of the temple destroyed by Aurungzeb [sic], it is a double temple with duplicate towers connected by a porch with a Muslim dome. -- (or Visvanatha - "the lord of the universe", the name under which Siva is worshipped in Benares), the "oldest" temple in Benares. |
