Description: | It is a sort of large room in the form of a cube, surmounted by a flattened dome. It is made of red sand-stone and white marble. The facing doors, as well as the windows are decorated with radiating stalactites. This door has been restored several times, not always in accordance with the original design which is now lost this applies particularly to the facade. -- Also called Alauddin Khalji's gate. |
