|Description:||Although the Vijayanagara dynasties retained a traditional style for their temples, which only evolved in so far as they did not depart from the general lines laid down in the Silpasastras, they borrowed extensively from the Muslims, with whom they were constantly in touch, a variety of architectural styles for their secular buildings. An example is this elephant stable of which the arches and domes are borrowed from the style of Bijapur.|
