Description: The temple of Halebid, similar to that of Belur but more complicated, consists of two shrines. It was erected by Ketamalla, an officer of king Visnuvardhana between 1120-1141. It is much more decorated than the Belur temple and its sculpture is entirely baroque. The architecture of the whole is correct and the details can only be seen from a short distance away.
