Description: This is the celebrated "madanaka with scorpion" which shows an entirely naked woman, a rather rare feature in Indian iconography. The excuse here was a scorpion which had been found in the folds of her dress. Above the madanaka, details of the porch roof can be seen which imitate timber construction.
