Description: | This charming group, which bears witness to the high quality and skill of the sculptors of this period, probably represents a king and a queen. It is perhaps a portrait of Vikramaditya and his wife, or that of their younger successor, Vinayaditya. There is no inscription to make this clear. The plinth bears only two kudus. -- Detail of sculpture on the interior wall. |
