Description: Siva is shown, dancing the Tandava, the cosmic dance, on the dwarf Mulayaka. His wife Parvati watches him dance while Nandin and various deities, nagas and dwarfs form a guard of honour. The movement is intense and supple
that for Parvati is full of feminine grace. The admirable composition adds to the dynamism of the group and assures its balance.
