Tomb of Muhammad Ghaus (1564)
|Collections||Arthur Llewellyn Basham|
|Title:||Tomb of Muhammad Ghaus (1564)|
Photographer: Arthur Llewellyn Basham
|Series/Report no.:||Basham Collection|
|Description:||Preserves some Lodi characteristics, notably the dome. Its pavilions are more elongated and the countless windows of fretted marble combine the austere style of the preceding reigns with the more Indian imagination of the Gujarat manner. Among the adjacent tombs is that of Tansen, the favourite musician of Akbar's time.|
