Improved transmission of electrostatic accelerator in a wide range of terminal voltages by controlling the focal strength of entrance acceleration tube
Tandem electrostatic accelerators often require the flexibility to operate at a variety of terminal voltages to accommodate various user requirements. However, the ion beam transmission will only be optimal for a limited range of terminal voltages.
