Description: The halo is here replaced by a nimbus which forms a background to the figure, The features of the face are clearly Indian, The Buddha wears a long robe adhering to the body, His hair is dressed in the style which is to become typical, the usnisa is decorated with curls, The ear-lobes are distended, a memory of the ear-rings he wore in his youth, The folds of the garments are indicated by a few incised lines on the body, Lowered eyelids suggest inner calm,
