Deuterium effects on human serum albumin in solution

We report the thermodynamic effects of heavy water and intra- molecular deuteration on the melting and aggregation of fatted and defatted human serum albumin (FHSA and DFHSA) in 250 mM salt. Eight different combinations with and without deuterium were produced by recombinant expression of the proteins in the yeast Pichia pastoris.
